Meet Chibi, now a vibrant 4-year-old living his best life in the Engeltjie Troop! 🌟 Chibi's journey to happiness is truly heartwarming. After about 8 months of illegally being kept as a pet, following a tragic loss of his mother to dogs, Chibi arrived at our care as an orphan. 🥺
From the moment he joined us, Chibi was full of excitement for his new adventure. His integration into the troop was a success from the start! 🎉 In fact, he was so enthusiastic and adaptable that he found his way into the troop from the introduction enclosure much sooner than we had planned. We decided to embrace the surprise and treat it as a normal release, just a bit ahead of schedule. 🐵💨
Chibi’s personality is nothing short of delightful—he’s a happy-go-lucky guy brimming with energy and joy! 🎈 His playful antics and boundless curiosity keep everyone entertained. Although he’s fully embraced life among his monkey friends and left human hands behind, he still has those moments of curiosity about humans. 👀
Watching Chibi thrive in his troop has been a beautiful experience. His transformation from a lonely pet to a cherished member of the Engeltjie Troop is a reminder of the joy and resilience of these amazing creatures. 💖🐾

The VMF is an internationally accredited rescue and rehabilitation center specialising in the rescue and rehab of injured, orphaned, and abused primates.
