Would you like to take on a voluntary staff role with one of the largest primate sanctuaries in the world?

The voluntary staff positions are long-term positions (18 months +) with extended responsibilities. If you are interested in a shorter stay, you might be interested in volunteering or an internship.

General Skills required

Even though different positions require different skills, there are some that are generally needed to be working at a wildlife sanctuary in rural Africa.

You have

A passion for monkeys and a desire to share your knowledge
At least two years work experience in a similar field
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Fantastic work attitude: you are self-motivated and confident in working on your own initiative towards the Foundation’s goals and objectives
A willingness to adopt a vegan lifestyle whilst at the Foundation
Flexibility and adaptivity
The ability to work in an international team and independently
The ability to work in a challenging environment (hot & humid climate, mostly outside, on a hill)
Experience in teaching or supervising a team
A qualification or experience in wildlife rehab or animal care (preferred)

In taking on these voluntary staff roles, we will provide basic cabin accommodation, vegan meals and a small stipend. These voluntary positions are for a minimum of 18 months.
